Come celebrate the triumphant return of Nu Groove Records with Rhano Burrell, one half of the visionary production team The Burrell Brothers and co-founder of one of the most progressive, experimental and trailblazing electronic/house music labels to come out of the late 80's/early 90's.
When classic house labels from NY come to mind, Nu Groove is at the top of that list. It was a label that provided a creative outlet and launching pad for producers such as Kenny Dope, Louie Vega, Frankie Bones, Joey Negro, Lenny Dee, Ralphie Dee, Joey Beltram and Bobby Konders, and helped direct the underground dance music into even "deeper," uncharted territory, in NYC and indeed the world.
Rhano is back with an absolutely outstanding 4-track EP that needs to be heard to be believed. Let's just say that the legacy of Nu Groove is alive and well, and we at Iris are happy to help usher it back into the spotlight, where it should be.
